Penn Hall
A Grade II* listed 17th-century house refronted in early Georgian style, with rainwater heads dated 1787. Thomas Bradney JP completed it to a design first intended for a hospital. Later it housed ironmasters, the Gibbons lock-making family and trainee police. It has been Penn Hall special school since 1974. It is a working school, not open to visitors.
